Welcome ASNC-GC
|
Welcome to the Guilford County Chapter of the Autism Society of NC! We are a parent (and teacher) support group for families of children with autism.
MONTHLY MEETINGS: Our meetings are scheduled for the third Friday night of each month during the school year. We invite speakers to present on various issues affecting families and their loved ones with autism. We currently meet at the Brooks Global Elementary School, Westover Terrace, Greensboro. Our meeting time is 6:30 - 8:00pm.
OUR MARCH 2008 MEETING IS CANCELLED DUE TO SPRING BREAK. We apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to see everyone in April at our many Autism Awareness Events!
COFFEE BREAKS at PANERA'S BAKERY on Wendover Avenue! Join us for coffee at Panera's Bakery on Wendover Avenue (next to Costco). Our “coffee breaks” are as popular as our monthly meetings! This informal venue allows parents to get to know each other and exchange ideas and strategies for parenting their child with autism and to discuss sibling issues. For parents with more flexible schedules, we have our morning coffee break the third Tuesday of each month at 9:30 AM.
Call Monique Justice @ 580-6548 for more information and check out our events page!

5TH ANNUAL AUTISM AWARENESS CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC
|
Join us April 28th for our 5th Annual Charity Golf Classic at Bryan Park Golf & Conference Center! We are very excited that Wyndham Championship PGA TOUR Event has decided to co-sponsor the tournament with us again this year. Together with the Wyndham Championship, we hope to raise $$$ for our Teacher Grant program and family outreach while raising awareness of autism in our community.
Proceeds from this year's tournament will go to fund local projects including our Teacher Grant program. In the past year, our local chapter provided over $26,000 in grants to support our children in Guilford County schools. Your support of this year's tournament is important and will have a positive impact on children with autism in our community.
How you can help:
1) Register to play! Golf registration includes driving range, green fees, golf cart fees, refreshments on the golf course, a goody bag and the awards banquet. Download the golf brochure ;
2) Become a sponsor! We have expanded our sponsorship levels and all sponsorships and donations are tax-deductible. Download the sponsorship form ;
3) Volunteer! Help us get the word out to your friends, family, employers, etc. Download the Sponsor Letter & Golf Registration form. Encourage your friends and family to play and/or sponsor the tournament, too!
Help us make this year's tournament the best tournament yet! Mark your calendars and join us April 28th! |
